The situation
Kate Hall Design is a luxury watercolour studio creating bespoke wedding stationery and handpainted illustrations.
The existing webcopy beautifully explained Kate’s craftsmanship and materials. But Kate wanted the storytelling side of her work, central to her approach, to come through more clearly.
What I did
I reworked the copy to focus more on the emotional experience the stationery brings, while maintaining the elegant tone that appeals to her audience.
Instead of leading with luxury features, the new messaging brings in the client’s story from the start. The small, specific details that make each relationship and wedding unique.
I wrote copy that:
Speaks directly to the client’s desires, rather than about the studio.
Turns features (like textured card and wax seals) into feelings. E.g. keepsakes, memories, something to treasure, an heirloom.
Uses storytelling imagery so people can picture their own story in the work
Positions each piece as something lasting, not just something beautiful for one day
For example, venue illustrations were reframed as part of the couple’s story — something to hang at home and come back to long after the wedding itself.
The result feels warmer and more personal, while keeping the luxury tone.
